10:15:20 PM   IBM Sues Amazon over E-Commerce Patents -  Software patents have completely run amuck.  Big Cos legally extorting $ from each other.  Even better they pick the best places to sue from "Armonk, New York-based IBM filed its two lawsuits in federal court in the Eastern District of Texas, one in Tyler and one in Lufkin. Texas has become a frequent site for patent cases because of a perception that certain districts there are more responsive to such claims."

10:01:40 PM   Petrocelli says his Los Angeles-based firm, O'Melveny & Myers, is owed $30 million more, bringing the grand total to $70 million, an amount that leaves other attorneys astonished" - The sky-high cost of Skilling's defense - $70 million to defend Tommy Skillethead's brother Jeffrey Skilling, this is incredible.
