8:22:28 PM   Singleton starts new career with Sox. Former big league outfielder Chris Singleton was named Thursday as the new color commentator for the Chicago White Sox radio broadcasts, joining Ed Farmer, who is switching from color duties to play-by-play. [Major League Baseball News] - Wow, last year the Cubs screwed up their TV broadcast team.  This year the Sox follow suit and screw up the radio side big time.  I always wondered why we had two play-by-play guys in the booth on the south side and now one of them is gone.  The wrong one I'm afraid.  The silver cloud in this is that John Rooney landed in St. Louis a huge step up on the baseball ladder from the South side.  Now should the White Sox go on a run and repeat ? I still think St. Louis beats the booth on the south side.
