So, I have to pick up a new hard drive because I awoke this morning to a looping machine which was apparently rebooting for most of the night. Spinrite was unable to fix it, well at first it was unable, turns out that after moving it out of the machine it was in, Spinrite did fix it, atleast temporarily.
So as I limp along, I have a Western Digital Tools disk which comes with the new hard drive. They come with all of them. This one comes with Google Toolbar, Desktop and Picassa. STOP, stop the freakin' Google. If I never see another Google ad in my whole life it will be too soon. They are stealing your eyeballs and your wallets, not to mention your data. What it the world is Google doing on my hard drive tools disk ? like when you are using the disk the last thing you will need or be able to use is Google ? what are they thinking ? do they have that much money they've conned investors out of which just needs to be spent ? And Western Digital ? do they realize I'll never buy another one of their drives as long as I live ?
